Kind Words
Received this e-mail from a recent customer. I thought they were some very kind words.
Quote:
"Just wanted to write a few words on my new Engin bicycle.
I have around 225 mile on it so far.
First, the obvious; its beautiful. The frame, paint & accessories are fantastic. I do not get tired of looking at it.
But more important obviously is the ride. The verdict so far is “super.”
It was a little hard to separate the excitement of having the bike delivered after watching it all the way from a box of tubes with a sketch, to the finished product; and the ride itself. Couple that with a number of major changes over my previous rides (completely new shifting system, tubeless tires and a bicycle built more for speed than light touring), and I struggled to try to divorce the bicycle itself from the trim. But of course, there is no reason to separate them. All through the planning, Drew & Ed were trying to fit things together to make an overall fun ride.
BINGO! I have had a great time with the bicycle. It does exactly what I wanted. It handles wonderfully. I have taken hills & curves that I have done many times in the past, with more confidence & speed. As I learn how to maximize shifting, the compact double has been fine.
Todd’s paint, Drew’s craftsmanship and Ed’s advice have combined to make me very happy I bought this bicycle.
Thanks to you all and to Adam who chimed in also."
It is always great to hear from customers and how they are enjoying their new bikes.
Have Karen's bike almost ready to send off to paint. There are a few other bikes already there so I sidelined it for a few days to get started on Jamie's 953 bike since they take forever.
Here is a few shots of Jamie's 953 bike in the beginning.
Off to the Cirque after work today.
Cheers,
Drew

You deserve a letter like this for every bike you make, Drew. Your customers are probably out riding all the time though.
