A modern take on a classically style steerer tube for modern forks. Turned from a solid piece of 4130 Steel this fork integrates an elegantly shaped crown race seat that protrudes from the base of the fork without the need for it to be brazed or welded in place. The interior is machined away carefully tapered into the extrusion of the steerer to avoid stress risers and minimize weight as much as possible.
The crown race seat is oversized by 0.020” to allow for some distortion during building, this must be reamed or machined after the fork has been built.
