These tools have been completed and are out to anodizing, they will be shipped out as soon as we receive them from the anodizer. We expect to get them back by December 20th.
In order to facilitate installing our new ISCG 05 tabs we designed and made this simple but extremely useful locating tool. Designed around 92 mm wide T47 bottom bracket shells with a 2.0625” OD, these locators will set ISCG tabs in from the edge of a 92 mm shell the perfect amount, then by aligning the machined channel with the line of your chain stay the tabs will be fully aligned.
The Locator tool features a recessed area designed to fit over a 2.065” T47 BB shell, standoffs that can bolt to the ISCG tabs and still allow access for welding or brazing. The front piece of the locator has a through hole to allow for a bolt or piece of threaded rod to pass through and secure to the rear plug which features 1/2” x 13 threads. The plug also has a port with 1/4” NPT thread for attaching a standard hose fitting like a quick connect for argon back fill. The tool includes M6 bolts to hold ISCG tabs, but does not include pipe fittings or other hardware.
With some creativity and potentially access to a lathe this tool can be easily adapted to work with BB shells of different sizes/styles. Please consult the drawings below for details. NOTE: Any dimensions not given in the drawings below are not toleranced and should not be used for locating purposes.
